Hi.

Have a look at your life, one post at a time.

A fat bean named Avery!

Sup chunky buns? Coming to you live and direct from the dining room table. You and mom are out shopping/returning stuff and I’m stuck working. Currently on a call I don’t care about and wanted to holler at ya to keep you up to speed on our lives.

First things first, let me tell you about YOU. You’re doing SO many things now and they’ve all happened over the past two weeks. You can now:

  • clap your hands

  • say mama

  • sometimes say dada

  • crawl everywhere

  • stand when you have something to lean on

  • recognize your name and look at mom or I when we say “where’s mama/dada"?”

  • play the piano

It’s crazy to see you getting so smart. I see other kids and they're so unimpressive lol. You’re def still a huge pain in the butt when it comes to sleeping through the night but you’re getting a little better I think. We’re going to have to sleep train you soon and it’s not going to be fun for any of us.

Yesterday we went to the park for the first time since we moved down here and it wasn’t just for a walk - you went on the swing for the first time and loved it! (photo evidence below). It was so much fun to see you light up.

Otherwise things have been pretty low-key. Aunt Beth had a cancer scare but she’s okay. Grandma and Grandpa miss you like crazy. And mom and I are going to do Sober September - an effort to get a little healthier inspired by Darren. He texted the band about it. We’re all going to eat better, drink less and work out more. Mom said she wanted in, too. Hopefully we drop some lb’s because we’ve both been feeling like crap lately.

That’s pretty much it. We continue to furnish the apartment and get settled in here in Georgia. Things feel pretty natural though, which is great.

Talk to ya soon sweet bean.

Love you big time,

Dad
