Heyooo –
Freaky Friday motherfreaker! Alright not that excited but it is nice that it’s Friday. Today I wanted to take some time to talk about one of my favorite albums of all time, which I’ve probably mentioned already but needs to be mentioned again. And that album is Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves. It’s so perfect it’s almost unfair. The light, airy accessibility, the beautiful melodies, the progression and coordination of country and pop. It’s beautiful, it’s original and it has infinity replay value. I’m so in love with the album that I decided to make artwork to celebrate every song. My favorite is probably the Space Cowboy art, which mom got put on a hoodie for me.
It’s hard to pick a favorite song because each one is so unique and works together so seamlessly. Lonely Weekend, Happy & Sad and High Horse are my top 3 as of today but that is a shifting scale. I know that one of my biggest regrets will be that I was too cheap to fork over the money to see her play the album at Radio City Music Hall. Her voice is so beautiful, and the musical arrangements are executed so well; the perfect level of room to breathe while maintaining impact. Can’t wait to play these songs for you when your born. I think you’re gonna love em.
Just thinking about it and I’m at my desk getting choked up. Today I think you might be a girl.
I don’t have any more meetings today and I need to get my hair cut. Last night my basketball team lost but it was a fun game, which is all I can really ask for.
I think this weekend mom and I are going to go back to the car dealership and continue our journey. And then my cousin Kristen invited us over on Sunday for a little birthday party for Charlotte. Will keep you posted on how it all goes.
Love you big time,
Dad
