Hey Monkey Buns!

Papa doc back in the cut and I’ve got big news! Mommy is pregnant - you’re going to be a big sister! We had our first doctor’s appointment today. Mom is 8 weeks and a few days along and baby sis/bro is doing great so far. Strong heartbeat and the doctor was happy with progress. I can’t wait to see you with a little brother or sister to have fun with, it’s going to be awesome. Apparently we’d be able to tell if it’s a boy or a girl during our next visit but Mom’s not into the idea. I tend to follow her lead on stuff like this, especially since she’s the one growing the human, ya know?

In other news, we just got back from Dan and Danielle’s wedding in New Jersey. You spent the weekend with Grandma Lori but you were missing us BIG time. She told us you had a few 45 min crying fits, just breaks my heart. Wedding was fun though and we saw Grandma Ellen while we were there. Lots of congratulations to mommy and I for the new addition to the fam. Wedding was gorgeous, mom was jelly. If we had some more money that could have been our wedding, alas we were younger and poorer when we got married. 5 years ago already!

I also went to Lake Gaston, North Carolina for a weekend a few weeks back to celebrate Dan getting married with the guys from the band. Had a lot of fun out on the Lake and just hanging with the guys. Played some music, had some beers, it was a good time.

Summer is starting to wind down. We’ve got our Halloween decorations up around the house and the weather has been high 60s, low 70s. Perfect southern fall temperature.

Work has been real busy lately - I’m working on the Almond Board of California as the global social lead, leading up branding work and social work for Amgen Biotech, influencer work for McDonald’s, a pro bono project for Partners for Home (org helping end homelessness) and a project for Sustainable Brands around using social media to enact positive change across communities.

Not much else to talk about at the moment. We’ve got Caitlyn’s wedding coming up in November which you are SO excited about. You talk about it all the time. Going to be your first flight! I can’t wait to hit the dance floor with you and see how pretty you and Mama look.
