Well well well –
If it isn’t tiny Darby. Wednesday afternoon here at work. I just got off the phone with the Grymes Hill Apartment people. Confirmed that we can do a 3-month extension if we want for an extra $100/month. That puts us at May for a potential move, which feels a lot better than February. A small sigh of relief honestly. The other option would be to sign a 1-year lease and break it after 6-7 months. But that would cost us 2 months’ rent in the form of a termination fee.
I’m jamming to some Manchester Orchestra right now. The Alien, The Sunshine and The Grocery is a lethal 3 song lineup on their album A Black Mile To The Surface. They all flow so nice. Real pretty, too. You should check out three of their other albums, I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child, Mean Everything To Nothing and Simple Math. Oh, and speaking of Manchester, the first Bad Books album is dope, too. Members of Manchester and Kevin Devine linked up for some rude boy melodies.
Had basketball last night. We lost but it was a fun game and I shot the ball well. Also, happy to report that my legs held up nicely. I felt strong out there. Just need to get my lungs back.
So funny how much mom and I talk about who you’re going to be. What parts of us you’ll have. Gonna be amazing when you’re finally here!!
Grandma is going to be in town starting tomorrow. Her and mom and Lisa are going to a mat-making thing. Little strange but cool. I’ll be in Brooklyn getting dinner with Joe and Evan. We try to get together every few months and talk about life. Incredible to me that I still have the same friends I did when I was like 5 years old. Wonder if you’ll have the same experience. Now they have kids and I’ll have at least you, maybe more by the time you read this.
Btw that’s mom and I 8 years ago in Little Italy on a date. LOOK at how pretty your mom is. Jesus. What’s going on with my hair? What a time.
Love you big time!
Dad
