Hi Darby baby –
Coming to you from the back of the bus. Got the 7 o’clock boat so now I’m on the 66 headed home. Going to get the car and then come back to pick up mom because she left work after me. Fingers crossed she gets the 7:40 but she said she didn’t think she would. We’re going to get our tan on tonight because we head to Vegas tomorrow morning. Chris texted me asking if I was ready. I can’t wait, honestly. I love me some roulette. Mom and I just need to decide how much we’re gambling away lol.
I’m really hungry. Will be interesting to see what mom wants for dinner. I think I want McDonald’s (monkey covering mouth emoji). I’m also fucking exhausted. I don’t know why but I could go to sleep right now. Really hope I didn’t leave anybody on my team at work in a tough spot. But I think I covered off on everything. And honestly, they’re adults, they should be able to navigate any challenges using the info I left them with.
Not quite sure how I’m going to write you these letters while we’re in Vegas. Pretty sure any time I’m in the room, mom’s gonna be there too lol. In any case, going to bring my laptop and hope for the best. When we get back, we’re headed to the hospital to check in on you and get mom to do this blood test thing. It’s not actually a test but I don’t know what to call it, so I’m calling it a test. Apparently we might have the chance to see you in 3D. But I don’t know if I want to. I think I like the idea of not seeing you until I really see you and meet you and hold you. So crazy that you’re going to go from a tiny little baby who needs everything done for it to a full-grown person who’s capable of doing anything they want. And that mom and I are the ones supposed to keep you alive! I think we’ll do a good job.
Okay stop’s coming up, gotta run.
Love you big time!
Dad
